Chastening: The Discipline of Correction

The cycle of the Christian life is unbreakable: Faith produces obedience, obedience produces endurance, and endurance requires discipline. We must learn to view the hardships and corrections of life not as the angry punishments of a distant God, but as the loving, necessary training of a Father conforming us to the image of His Son. True faith is an endurance race that crosses the finish line long after motivation has died.
