Press On To Spiritual Maturity
Spiritual growth requires intentional effort and cannot be left to chance. The book of Hebrews warns against four main causes of spiritual immaturity: becoming dull of hearing God's Word, inability to teach others, remaining in spiritual infancy, and lack of spiritual exercise. Mature believers move beyond basic truths to deeper understanding, develop discernment through practice, and can instruct others in their faith. Growth happens through consistent engagement with Scripture, practical application of biblical principles, and sharing knowledge with others. Spiritual maturity is characterized by the ability to distinguish between fundamental and deeper truths, respond to difficulties with a learning attitude, and exercise sound judgment in doctrine and daily decisions.
